Finding a Menopause Certified Physician

Did you know most doctors receive little to no training in menopause? And it shows. Women often feel dismissed by their providers and struggle to find a doctor to help them navigate the menopause transition. Thankfully, there are telehealth options for menopause care now.  I personally use MyMenopauseRx for my menopause hormone therapy and have been very happy with the care I have received from them. They accept my insurance, send my prescriptions to my usual pharmacy, and I pay my usual copay. My clients have also had good luck with HerPrime,  MIDI Health, Alloy, and Evernow. You can also search The North American Menopause Society (NAMS) list of providers. Be sure to select a provider that has the certification emblem by their name! Dr. Hirsh is a leading expert in menopause hormone therapy, and she offers a certification course for providers. You can also search a list of providers that have completed the Heather Hirsch Acadamy training. The International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH) also has a directory of providers.  Do not let your doctor's lack of experience stop you from getting the care you need!
